Out-of-state (domestic) students: In order to not get charged the out-of-state tuition rate next year, you have to start planning now to secure Florida residency. Next fall you’ll have to show FL residency for at least a year before the start of classes, so make sure all your residency documents are dated on or before August 20, 2020. Residency documents include, but are not limited to: voter registration, driver's license, car registration, and a Declaration of Domicile filed with Leon County. For a full list, see the admissions link below.
-
In-state residency requirements, see: admissions.fsu.edu/residency
-
Information on the declaration of domicile is on the Leon County website: https://cvweb.clerk.leon.fl.us/public/clerk_services/online_forms/index.asp
-
Submit immunization form (must be completed in order to register for classes)

Deadline to opt-in to the insurance subsidy
-
If you purchased FSU health insurance for 2023-24, you will want to opt-in to the subsidy benefit through the email sent by the university. You won’t receive the subsidy unless you opt-in so that you don’t have to pay taxes on the subsidy. The email for opting in can be confusing, so make sure you read it carefully.
